Founded in 1972, Giant was born with a specific goal: to create high-quality bicycles capable of enhancing the experience and lifestyle of every cyclist. From the beginning, technological innovation and manufacturing expertise have been the cornerstones of the renowned Taiwanese brand's growth.
The first production models were distinguished by lightweight chromoly frames, which allowed Giant to offer high-performance yet accessible bicycles to an ever-wider audience. This vision helped introduce thousands of people to the world of two wheels, making cycling a more modern, engaging, and accessible experience.
Over the years, Giant has consolidated its role as a benchmark in the industry thanks to the development of cutting-edge technologies and innovative production processes, particularly in carbon and aluminum. The brand was among the pioneers in the introduction of carbon fiber bicycles with the historic Cadex 980 C, revolutionizing the road segment with its renowned Compact Road Design.
In the world of mountain biking, Giant has also made a distinctive mark with its Maestro active suspension system, which has become a benchmark for performance, control, and comfort off-road.
For over forty years, Giant has continued to invest in the development of new technologies and production strategies, allowing it to become one of the world's leading manufacturers of quality bicycles and accessories.
With over 12,000 authorized dealers worldwide, Giant caters to every type of cyclist: from everyday riders to athletes and enthusiasts seeking high-performance, competition-oriented products.
Giant bicycles have won world titles and received prestigious international awards, but the brand's true value lies in the trust of millions of cyclists who choose Giant's reliability, innovation, and quality every day.
The Italian subsidiary, Giant Italia S.r.l., was founded on September 1, 2015, as a direct headquarters connected to the international board in Taiwan. Initially operating in the province of Varese, an area historically linked to cycling culture, the organization quickly developed a widespread network of over 200 dealers throughout the country.
In January 2021, Giant Italia moved to its new headquarters in Nerviano, near Milan, to support the continued growth of the team and its operational and commercial activities.
Giant has always promoted a sustainable vision of mobility, convinced that the bicycle represents a concrete tool for improving the quality of life and contributing to a more sustainable future. Ride Life, Ride Giant.
